New in this week: Wilson Blade 98s, 101L and 25 tennis rackets

On Friday, we had a special delivery of the brand new Wilson Blade tennis racket 2015 range: the 98s, 101L and 25 (which is a junior racket). A popular and much anticipated range, the new Blade rackets are created with control in mind, and targeted at hard-hitting players.

The 98s is designed to deliver precision spin, using Spin Effect Technology and an 18×16 string pattern. It’s also built to provide control for aggressive game play, plus it’s lighter weight allows for faster racket speed. Parallel Drilling, Braided Graphite and Basalt give the racket a more elastic construction, reduces friction between the string and racket and provides more shock absorption. It weighs in at 310g (strung) and has a headsize of 632cm²

At 290g (strung weight), the Blade 101L is the lightest adult racket in the range. It’s sturdy frame again makes it a powerful racket for an offensive player. With a headsize of 652cm,² it’s also larger than the 98s.

25 (junior)

A junior option, the Blade 25 is great for younger players looking for a racket with serious power. Weighing just 258g (strung), and with a headsize of 645cm² it’s nice and light allowing for speed as well as precision.
